Why was the antenna unmounted?

Who bought it? How much?

Where is it going to?

What's its next application? Where?

How old are the pictures? Is there already snow in Norway?

Its not made anymore, NERA stopped making it like all great dishes there are few left these days.

I beleive IP-TV communicaton is going to take over within the next 10 years in Europe, it's very developed here in Sweden right now and there is not much interest for satellite dishes here anymore except a few households.

Our biggest cable-tv operator Comhem is based on a broadband IPTV solution now in Sweden, they don't really need satellite dishes anymore as the content is delivered directly from Viasat and Canal Digital via fiber optics.

Well i also believe that IP TV will be spreading around but it will never be covering whole of Europe. The renewal of the old infrastructure in many regions will take a lot of time and money. And i don't believe that satellite dishes will dissapear even in Stockholm. There are people that are interested in non-swedish programming like here in Germany in non-german. So how can the cable operators offer them all the satellites they can catch for free ? And what about foreign Pay TV that many have inofficially ?

Anyway the topic was about the dish.

The market is very different in Sweden compared to the rest of Europe as we have always been 5 years in front of other countries in Europe.

As many people here today have FTTH fibre to the home with 100Mbps or even more IPTV is very succesfull here.

DVB-T is also very succesfull here and of course DVB-C.

Satellite dishes are not very common here and the market is mostly dead, only a few hobbyist like me is doing it still and some foreign people living in the suburbs.

Try open a satshop in Sweden....waste of time, there is no money in it anymore and hasn't been for 10 years.

Quality of Service makes it today able to roam the IPTV service thru providers compared to 5 years ago and Alcatel is the big leader here.

Yes the rest of Europe the infrastructure isn't that well built yet but the rest or Europe is coming fast, just look at France which is very much in front with IPTV solutions from the providers.
