Hallo, vielen von Euch ist es sicherlich bekannt, aber es wird auch Neueinsteiger für das C- Band geben, die sich evt. dafür interessieren:
Der Apstar auf 76.5°E (ehemals Telstar) ist ein sehr interessanter Satellit geworden aufgrund der Tatsache , daß sehr viele Programme(überwiegend auf SCPC- Einzelträgern) zu empfangen sind. Aufgrund der Sendeleistung
sind auch mit 180cm bereits respektable Empfangserfolge möglich.
Außerdem ist auf diesem Sat in der letzten Zeit viel in Bewegung und so bringt mancher Blindscan schöne Ergebnisse.

Genau diesen Satelliten würde ich gern empfangen. Die Sender aus Bangladesh sind von großem Interesse.
Vorhanden ist allerdings nur eine 1,2m Offset-Antenne.
Hat jemand Erfahrungen mit dem Empfang dieses Sats von Deutschland aus?

Mit 120cm kannste den vergessen ! Unterste grenze ist 180 cm !besser noch 240 cm smile

Und dann kommt es noch darauf an ,wo in Deutschland Du den Sat empfangen willst Augenzwinkern

Hallo, PsychoMantic: Da hat a928z m.M. nach völlig recht.
Habe selbst mal den allerersten Einstieg vor vielen Jahren im C- Band mit einer 125er Gibertini- Offset-Antenne gewagt(aus Neugier wurde dann Interesse), und allzuviel ging da wirklich nicht:
Gut empfangbar waren lediglich der Express auf 40°E(jetzt nicht im C-Band aktiv), der Express auf 11° West sowie mit grenzwertigem Empfang und sehr eingeschränkt die Positionen 64°E, 5°W, 22°W, 27,5°W und 40,5°W.
Also: Ohne genügend Blech wirst Du kaum befriedigende Empfangserfolge haben, obwohl der Apstar in der letzten Zeit besser reinzubekommen ist.

I am thinking of setting up a big dish for the three C-Band sats: 76.5°E, 68.5°E and 38.0°E on one.
My question is what size of a dish do I require in order to get the best receiption (day/night & good/bad weather) from those Bangladesh/Indian/Pakistan channels ...
120cm or 180cm? I am in Bremen city.

I need to know this to be sure that it will work perfectly if I buy the equipments.

I will really appreciate it if any of you has any first hand experince about these satellites from Germany or Nord-West Deutschland.

Habe einen guten Bekannten, der mit 180 cm im C-Band arbeitet, werde mal anfragen, wie es mit dem Empfang dieser Programme bei ihm aussieht und gebe Dir in ca. 1-2Tagen Bescheid. Sein Standort ist hier in Mitteldeutschland, dürfte in Bremen wohl keinen allzu großen Empfangsunterschied ausmachen.

Hello, Genius 5000, i hope to be able to help you perhaps a little: A friend in my proximity has a jonsas PFA with 180 cm.
Apstar, 76.5°East, goes on satellit with that quite well: Channel 9, Frequency 3793, Pol. H, SR 4443/Bangla Vision, Frequency 4050, Pol. H, SR 4300.
The programm ATN Bangla on Frequency 3985, Pol. H, SR 3700 only sporadic.
The India package(Satellit IS 7/10, 68.5°East) goes along with 7 free programmes(Frequency 4104, Pol. V, SR 7800 in high- density MPEG 4), also with 180 cm PFA but not so good and with now and then failures.
It can badly or only sporadic therefore only bigger mirror be not recommended to Satellit Paksat an 38°East with 180 cm PFA, currently only 3 programmes in the moment. Have to be for certain received here in Central Germany, all other thinks.
So: Please, try and take on C-band LNB exactly but do not be 180 cm PFA so well, if possible, bigger aerial!
Wether, day or nigth is not quite so critical at the C-band reception!
Please report about your results.

so, the three channels on 76.5E you have mentioned, is that all we can get from that satellite?
there is this member Sven2501 in this forum who seem get to get all the channels i was looking for from 76.5E, 68.5E & 38E,
he even had pictures from those channels, probably on dishworld. de !

Here the infos for you:

1. Paksat 38°E is extremly satellite (receive nothing good, low signal with 240 cm PFA). This moment i can received 13 Programms, bigger dish is better.

2.IS 7/10(68.5°E)
Your Frequency: No chance with 240cm , zero signal.
The India- Package(and many programms) is strong (about 70% with octagon SF 1028 HD)

3. Apstar 5 (76.5°E) ist very good with 240 cm.(22 Programms free to air)
Here the chance for your Frequency:

Very strength signal(about 71%):
3793 H, 3918 H, 4009 H, 4034 H, 4057 H

middle strengt Signal(about 30-35%):
3789 H, 3801 H, 3985 H, 3998 H, 3801 H, 4004 H, 4018 H,
4037 H, 4018 H. News: 3995 H(Mountain- TV) and 4163(Diganta TV)

low Signal unglücklich

26%):
41o4 H, 4126 H, 4132 H, 4138 H and 4149 H

nothing received:
3757 H, 3769 H, 3807 H, 3817 H and 4085 H

So, i think, the Satellit Apstar is a favourite for you.
With 240 cm have you super received.

thank you very very much for finding all this info for me ... seems like without 240 it would be very difficult!
BUT i found this thread from dishworld, please check especially the posts from Sven250172
who seems to get all the channels from 76.5E, incl those where you had problems, and he has only a 150cm dish !!!

240 cm is a good Equipment for you(Apstar 5),the little Dish make problems!

Das Programm KANTIPUR auf 4056-H-3600 hat mit HD-Ausstrahlungen im Format 1920x1080i begonnen.
Das Programm Maasranga TV HD auf 4070-H-4000 ist am Standort jetzt sehr gut empfangbar.
